jeffl7 0 Posted September 22, 2008 I've tried a million times to get a good car reflection, but never successfully like this. The colors work extremely well to create a crisp and resplendent world. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 22, 2008 This has a nice graphic quality to it. Obviously, the bold colors really sing, the blues being especially effective in offsetting the orange. The very geometric building takes on lovely contours as its reflection conforms to the curve of the car. Although it works colorwise, I find the background a little busy and casual compared to the formality and simplicity of the main subject. For me, the tree works, especially because it adds green, but the bit of gray car going by and the lower Talbots building don't have quite the presence of a great foil for the foreground. rogerleekam 0 Posted September 22, 2008 Thanks, Jeff and Fred. As I was editing it, I toyed with the idea of blurring the background, but I did like the red Talbot's awnings and yellow logo. I probably agree in retrospect with the grey car, but at the time liked the implied contrast with the Lamborghini (and also with its red tail light). Thinking of doing something truly wild and abstract with this, or with another similar. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted September 25, 2008 I love the orange & blue contrast . The reflection is also well placed in the corner, fitting into the car perfectly. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted October 27, 2008 Glad to see you back, missed you....where to, have you disappeared ( there is a children song , go's like this: "Roger ,Roger, where have you been? , went to England to see the queen?...."lol) I like the reflected surrounding on the car, makes a very gay composition! The sky blue adds a lot. I wonder if the surrounding fits the Lamborghini.... Link to comment
vancouverphotographer 1 Posted October 27, 2008 Neat reflection ... superb colours - I want that car. Link to comment
JohnMWright 1 Posted October 27, 2008 I love the pattern made by the twin reflections (glass and paint). The changing angle of the reflection on the glass is great. I think the owner of that vehicle has a full time job just keeping it shiny. Vibrant color. I wish the background was blurred more, I find it a little distracting. Link to comment
rogerleekam 0 Posted October 27, 2008 Thanks everyone. Pnina, I think it's "Pussycat, pussycat, where have you been". I decided to take a bit of time off PN as I was becoming a bit jaded. I've also joined a "Creativity" group and am trying some new things. I may be trying a different and more surprising background on this one. May also have some weird fun with it. Link to comment
