billysyk 0 Posted September 20, 2008 Peter :-) I think you are trying the oldie concept from a wrong perspective. It's not the effect from photostudio that will make an old photo but what you have grasped with your camera. See old photos and see what separates todays photos from then.The context. I think there are three basic things if you are talking about oldie nudes. 1ST is the model. You have to find one that suits the overweight concept of those days. IMO that overweight standard is the right for my standards also (you know love handles etc.) 2ND. is her hair. They were not making their hair that way. 3RD is the background. Find some tapestry or background that reminds 30's or 40's and set up a 30's look for your background. You dont have any clue for an oldie look :-) So its not about the photo rather than its setup ;-) hope I helped ;-) happy shootings Link to comment
