First of all, I loved your dialog with John above. This is precisely how I learn and why I enjoy PN so much, so thanks for that. The gray background doesn't bother me in the least, but there is one other small thing. The woman's face is so bright that you don't see any features or texture. I realize that you had no control over this because you captured this quickly and the sun was quite bright. Besides, there are many other merits to this photo......I love the emotional connection. Innocent young love seen in public like this seems much more common in Europe, it seems to me. Thanks for sharing this special moment between two lovers.

Absolute, I have the 'magic steps' in front of the Po river and once in a while I take a few snaps with the 100-400 from my balcony... Thanks for coming by. Ciao, El

The pose of the couple is ok, the moment wonderful. The diagonal of the stairs gives dynamics to the composition, the low angle of the sun helps to create smooth shaddows.

 

But...! The Background could look as water, but a seamless surface, with no texture, no shaddow, uniform tone and color makes it look quite unreal, the post-processing is too obvious.

 

Anyway a good catch.

Ciao EPB, stabilito che o sei italiana o sei pico della mirandola, oggi che sono superdislessico ti scrivo in italiano. La foto è bellissima, una citazione di HCB 50 anni dopo, ma l'amico Nestor qui sopra ha dannatamente ragione. Se non ti spiace provo a pasticciarci con ps e poi ti carico la modifica, così, giusto per vedere l'effetto che fa. Comunque bravissima.
