GerrySiegel 868 Posted October 11, 2008 A painterly composition that invites closer study. What was the intent? This is no ordinary gang and not a picnic as such. Maybe just a couple bodies too many...but inviting to look at in a surreal way. The suitcase doesn't quite fit, does it? How about a small table for the wine bottles? Link to comment
gambino 0 Posted October 11, 2008 Sometimes I think we all think too much .. this is a great shot here. The things that make a great fashion photo in my mind are those that make you question what the hell is going on. They make you question things like .. why is that suitcase there .. why does it look out of place? To me .. that makes a great photo. Good job here! Jay Gambino Link to comment
GerrySiegel 868 Posted October 12, 2008 It is hard to argue that we raise questions about a photograph too much and quibble about photo choices and then contrarily argue that we should indeed think about them and wonder about the details I suggest.... Thinking also entails interpretation in a shot like this. Which begs for interpretation or else it is a random display. Matthew hauled and laid ou all this material in an outdoor location.... This suggests that the choice of what to put in the van was determined with a purpose or two or three. So Matthew, what do you say it represents or the feeling it represents if that is a fair Q....That way we get to calibrate our own brain with that of yours and a good feeling is produced as in all photo art. Thanks and I wish you well. gs Link to comment
