Hi Dan,

I have the same camera and we do some post processing using PS or Lightroom. RAW image capture the shot as is, question: Are you using the RAW and converting into jpg on your PC or you are using the jpg file from your camera and comapring it to the RAW image on your PC? reason you should know that camera processes the RAW image using some factory defaults and creates the final image which may not be up to your standards. Also not sure if you used polarizer filter and UV filters as they take away some of the haze.

Nice shot though

Hi Zeeshan,

I shoot in RAW. I typically use Lightroom to convert into JPEG. I typically have a UV filter on, mainly just to protect the lens. This picture was not taken with a polarizer because the sun was more behind me. It may have improved it now that you mention it. Also there was a lot of haze because of some of the fires this summer in California. I could probably take some of the blue cast out which would also improve this some. I am not that good with Photoshop (yet).

The picture is a lot sharper in RAW. Sizing down the JPEG looses a lot of sharpness. I find that after I output to JPEG, I should normally go back in a sharpen the JPEG.

The shoot is taken pointing just about due South. There are a lot of high peeks just to the West so late in the afternoon is the only time to get this one.

Thanks for the comments. They have helped.
