Guest Guest Posted October 8, 2002 If you really inists to join the big tribe of flower-photographers you should know their first rule: whenever possible focus on one flower, do not show to many at a time which translates for other photographers to "always find your main subject". Link to comment
marrio 0 Posted October 8, 2002 I neither insist nor wish to join with any group of photographers with 'their' rules. I present my own view of the world here. I hope that you can find yours as well without worrying about 'them' looking over your shoulder. To each his own...even in photography. Link to comment
nick_p 0 Posted October 8, 2002 The flower in the middle should have more impact on the framing. I would have moved in a little closer to that group of two or three flowers and left out the branch above it. It also looks a bit overexposed, but it may be the way it looks on the PC. Link to comment
seven 0 Posted October 9, 2002 Whilst the subject matter I find most attractive, as presented here I think the photo is a little busy, Wayne. I might have done one of two alternatives: * shot from farther back, with a deeper field depth * moved in closer and, macro-style, focused on just one of the blossoms. Should your camera allow control over white balance, try pre-measuring on a piece of white paper. This well permit detail in the brighter colours and negate flaring. My regards. Link to comment
