This photograph powerfully and sensitively reflects the suffering these people have experienced and the strength they have to endure it. I love the two faces - one fully exposed except for the ears and the other whose face is hidden except for the eyes. This adds so such to the drama in the photograph.

 

How desperately I wish that people in this world did not have to suffer as they do. And how grateful I am for you not letting us sweep it under the rug.

There eyes really convey a message. Powerful image.

Take this in the spirit it is intended. Your work is very good. I just wish you would let it stand in its own natural merit without so much post-processing. The eyes in your photos are lightened (and color-adjusted?) too much. In this photo the burning to pure black is clumsy. I would encourage you to use a "softer hand" in PS.

My initial thought was "my God, how much PS work here ?" It does look a bit clumsy especially where the woman's chin should be...

your work is scorching ... a fundamental question for humanity ... survive ... the human race is reversing its values for centuries and thinks, really, is going to live in fallacies and lies ... in Brazil, where I live, and in the world, we are reaching the point of inflection where there is no turning back ... maybe a new world, a new era, a new man ... but do our part ... always ... the hope is green! cheers from Brasil!

I'm trying to figure out how something so terribly Photoshopped could elicit such praise. I'm sorry but the eyes look totally unnatural to me and the black looks like it is painted with a can of black spray paint.
