I like this picture for a couple of reasons.....

 

At a 'Faith' level, I really love the impression that the white gate leads upwards, and the black one downwards....it's a VERY strong implication of 'heaven and hell'...

 

Also, I like the balance of the left/right sides of the image, because the symmetry is strong too....

 

...and finally, the arched windows on the left attract my eye to the right side, and away from the plain rectangle of the door on the left.

 

These three things are apparent to me, and I wonder what drew your attention to taking the image.....?

 

There are problems, one of which could be to have a MUCH shallower Depth-of-field on the gates, and the background more out-of-focus...

 

Theres a lot here to work with, and perhaps a second, longer and more observational visit could give some even stronger material.......well done though.......it's definately worth the effort taken to get this......
