federico disep 0 Posted September 27, 2008 Very nice and very "zen" image: the perfect composition, the lighting and the delicate tones contribute to the beauty of this photo. Best regards. Link to comment
ray.koushik 0 Posted September 28, 2008 Very nice composition and tones. Romantic as it may be...it is also with a certain dose of sadness...when I think of them belonging to two lovers who have disappeared in the vastness of the locale and would never meet again. I like the idea of creating/preserving the demarcation line. Beautiful conception and execution. compliments -koushik Link to comment
charliemastrovich 0 Posted September 29, 2008 The neagtive space above is appropriate and the fading of the handles and umbrella edges into your "imagination" makes this image pure. I can hear a beautiful musical score playing in my mind. Just wonderful. I can't stop looking. Charlie Link to comment

jonathan_lau1 0 Posted September 29, 2008 awesome foto~ nilgun, but i can't help feeling that your fotos are very michael kenna, or maybe, michael kenna is very you. OR maybe, you ARE michael kenna. either way... both your stuff is very profound. Link to comment
frankphoto 0 Posted September 29, 2008 Nilgun, I won't beat around the bush on this one....YOU ARE CORRECT AND I WAS 100% WRONG. I believe you are a gifted photographer of the highest integrity. As for my comments above(which were madehonestly but erroneously at the time) I completely retract them and hope that you can accept my sincerestapology for my utter stupidity. I do hope I have not detracted too much from your enjoyment of having your photochosen as Photo of the week ...If I have, then the thought of me, very sheepishly having to eat very humble pie(not for the first time in my life, either!) may in some measure offer you a small degree of recompense.Very best wishes and every success with your future photographic careerFRANK GAFFNEY. andrewadkins 0 Posted December 20, 2008 As my living room is "Shades of Grey" this is something I would hang there.. Really nice.. The horizon draws me.. . Link to comment
pascalagneray 0 Posted January 7, 2009 Very simplistic and pleasing in its composition. Strenght is the oddity of such a scene...umbrellas in water, the dark versus light and the choice of framing. Weakness might be framing also with so much empty space which might not be necessary for impact and after manipulating the picture, there is actually some very interesting reflection within the water that are too bright to be seen on the picture. jay_l1 0 Posted January 10, 2009 my comment is addressing your entire portfolio -- i love the minimalism! great work. Link to comment
ji_yoon_hong2 0 Posted August 26, 2009 It seems very simple but intense.. The line which water and the umbrellas meet has mysterious appeal. Link to comment
