iancoxleigh 0 Posted September 12, 2008 I spent almost the whole day here waiting for a break in the clouds. It was a uniform blanket of grey until late into the afternoon. Unfortunately it clouded up again before there was much colour in the sky. This is by best effort of the main formation. Despite the fact it was already the second week of June it snowed in the evening closing a couple of the mountain passes. The local newspaper called it Juneuary. Link to comment

ffrank 0 Posted September 12, 2008 Nice.....I like the grass in the foreground indicating the direction the wind is blowing and leading me to the colorful hills that are so well exposed. This would have been good even without the sky. Fred Link to comment
iancoxleigh 0 Posted September 14, 2008 Thanks all. I was particularly happy with the wind-blown grass and clouds both flowing right and the layers of the hills sloping left. Link to comment
rbanfield 0 Posted December 22, 2008 I missed this when you first posted it. Glad I found it. Beautiful capture with lots of DOF and the colors are simply gorgeous. Great capture...RAY Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted February 28, 2009 It is a keeper. the wind is so well felt, as well as the layer of the landscape, which are so different in looks and details, as well as in their color palette. It has a bit of an immaginative Z form, starting from the greenesh weeds, direction to the R , leading to the L side of the brown/loess red color, and back to the dark mountain line, direction R again. The blue sky is a nice colder addition. Very well observed and executed, I'm sure it will be a beautiful print. Link to comment
iancoxleigh 0 Posted March 3, 2009 Thanks everyone. Pnina, that strong Z pattern is what made me pick this image over the other compositions I made. Link to comment
