rnemtpski 0 Posted September 30, 2008 This was taken on my way back from Colorado. I believe we were like 30,000 feet up. The original one is on my profile and is very intresting with the rainbow spectrum on it. Im not sure what causes the rainbow effect. If you have any answers for me please tell me im very curious. Thanks for looking lInda Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted September 30, 2008 Very cool photograph! I really like that you've converted it to black and white; somehow it seems just perfect. This really has a great 3D feeling to it. I am assuming that the spectral phenomena you saw is a result of the sunlight refracting through the thick glass and plastic of the airplane windows. Nicely seen, Linda! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
lex_photo 0 Posted October 3, 2008 I agree with Chris great job. This is really cool. I haven't yet looked at the other photo but I'm guessing that Chris is right about that as well, otherwise there might have been some rain/mist up there which could have also made a rainbow. Anyway, this is a wonderful photo and has inspired me to re-look at some of my cloud photos and try B&W or other treatments. Thanks for sharing - Lex Link to comment
mlackey 0 Posted January 31, 2009 Moisture of some type I am sure caused diffraction of light. (looks like there was plenty of it about) I wish I could provide an answer just wanted to tell you that I really like this photograph. Link to comment
