cnaan_liphshiz 0 Posted November 27, 2002 Nice capture of this unusual zigzag pattern running in the middle of the spider web. Facinating species, by the way, full of twists and turns (my portfolio has several pictures of it). To catch spider webs on film, I keep a spray bottle with non-toxic water-based white finger-paint diluted with water. Then I gently spray it on the spider-web, and presto. Nice, thick, accentuated nets. Also - Iv'e been meaning to ask - what do you consider media that is skin-tone friendly (you suggested in a comment I use it for portraiture once)? Link to comment
sharif 0 Posted December 4, 2002 Hi Cnaan, thank you for your nice comment and your sharing of experiences. I actually can't remember the photo on which I recommended changing the film medium. I believe that I made that comment on a Fuji Superia picture. It may be personal taste but I hate the skin tones that Superia produces -and I know what I am talking about since I used the Superia for quite some time because it costs only 60 % of Kodak Film in Austria - however the reproduction of skin tones is much better by Kodak film in my opinion. Cheers,Sharif Link to comment
