dseltzer 0 Posted September 7, 2008 Boats gathered, and actually tethered together in long chains, await the dark and the start of the 2008 WEBN and Cincinnati Bell Labor Day Fireworks. I thought the light was wonderful, and I'm very pleased with the level of clarity and resolution that even clearly shows the folks on the boats. Please tell me what you think of this image. Thanks for looking. Link to comment
doug_gentry 0 Posted September 9, 2008 David, I enjoy viewing this very much! The color is unique and the cluster of vessels crowding the pylon is quite a statement on the man made world we live in. The arch brings it all together with balance and the gold building in the background adds just enough tension to keep the eye searching. Excellent work! Regards, Doug. Link to comment
dseltzer 0 Posted September 10, 2008 Thank you, Doug! Thanks for the detailed analysis, and for your strong praise and encouragement. Knowing what specifically attracts and pleases your excellent eye is very helpful and much appreciated. I'm so glad you like this one. Regards, David Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted September 17, 2008 This is a wonderful shot. The cluster of the boats huddling beneath the bridge gives such a sense of the need for community with nary a human to be seen. Link to comment
dseltzer 0 Posted September 19, 2008 Thanks, Jeff! In the last few years, boats have tied together like these for the annual Labor Day Fireworks. Before they began lashing the boats, they'd be all over the river and it seemed like more of them. I'm glad you like this shot and it tells you a story. Link to comment
