dan_vidal1 0 Posted September 4, 2008 We had a location on the Venetian Causeway, which leads from Downtown Miami, to South Beach. I had a Novatron strobe off-camera to the left, and everything else from there was natural light. I really had to fight the sun, obviously. The one thing that was a real pain with this was lens flare, and the fact that the Novatron couldn't punch hard enough to fully combat the sun. If I had to do this again, I would have picked a more powerful strobe, so I could make the sky behind the subject a bit darker. I kind of was looking to silhouette the buildings more. Lens: 16-35 f2.8 L Body: 30D Shutter: 1/250 (max sync for this body) Aperture: f5 - any slower and the Novatron couldn't have kept up. The EXIF is preserved if you want to look at it in detail.
