I guess nature always finds a way to penetrate. I watched a show recently (based on the book "The World Without Us") about what the earth might look like if humans were to instantly disappear this very moment. The narrator seemed to think most homes and buildings would be nothing but foundations in about 500 years. He's probably not far off.
