orias 0 Posted August 31, 2008 What a "good abstract" is varies from person to person, so you have taken on a difficult challenge. For me, this looks more like a poorly executed shot. I probably find the soft texture of the wall as a more interesting abstract. The plants at the bottom of the shot are what ruins the effect for me. I don't know if removing them would change your vision of the shot too much, but would it would be a stronger shot for me. Link to comment
mcclure 0 Posted August 31, 2008 This is a wonderful departure and visually compelling - great crop and color play. I wouldn't change a thing - love the painterly play and photo reference in the window. Congrats, John Link to comment
nichroe 0 Posted August 31, 2008 Hi David,,thanks for coming bye,,,if you have read the dogma-rule of Casual-shots, you will known,,,this is not my shot,,,im just a trustee for the casual ;),,,it is a street shot,,but i think abstract is better,,,an abstract of a house,,,simplified to a minimum in a short moment,,,,i have no influence,,that s how it was,,, if i should change anything i would say something of my own idea/view of aesthetics,, but this is the real thing,,,harsh,,no cream,,,down to earth,,,take or leave it,,,best niels Link to comment
