mikeoday 0 Posted August 30, 2008 What a great image Dale. It reminds of one of the better images from a military air show! Wonderful composition and great movement. Well done. All the best, Mike Link to comment

rogerleekam 0 Posted September 4, 2008 I have been trying to get one of these in flight all summer, with no success, so I know how difficult it is. The focus is perfect, and great light and background. I also love the wing movement! Link to comment
vancouverphotographer 1 Posted September 5, 2008 Hey Cherlyn and Roger, thanks a bunch for the feedback. @Cherlyn, I got lucky on the angle - usually I'd have to lie on the ground if that is possible in the environment to get that kind of angle .... this guy was flying up pretty high. @Roger, as with most kind of shots, it's easier than you think ... it is difficult to get them flying but not so difficult to get them hovering which I did on this guy. dennis jones 0 Posted September 6, 2008 you spend a lot of time watching these guys if you know where they are going to hover... I've gotten a few this year myself... Well done. Link to comment

Alex 0 Posted July 31, 2009 What a terrific capture. Those are the kind of shots we always are looking for but are so dificult. Great shot. Alex Link to comment
vancouverphotographer 1 Posted August 1, 2009 Hey Alex, thanks a lot - it's a little easier than you might think, this particular species often hovers for relatively long periods of time and seem curious of humans ... if you can hit the focus on it, you likely can rattle off a few shots before it darts around. vancouverphotographer 1 Posted August 19, 2009 Thanks a lot Kathy :) .... this guy appeared curious of me. Link to comment
Efren 1 Posted October 12, 2009 How you have obtained this macro of an insect in movement! Impressive shot Dale.Regards Link to comment
vancouverphotographer 1 Posted October 13, 2009 Thanks a lot Efren - I'm fortunate that this type of dragonfly seems to hover a bit so I was lucky to lock focus and fire away in that brief moment. Link to comment
