david morgan 0 Posted August 29, 2008 The conditions appear gloomy and not ideal to provide variable levels of light to bring out colour in the landscape. It's a good composition and certainly conveys the feeling of harshness that the highland region often presents. Link to comment
yves_p 0 Posted August 29, 2008 I like this picture. Slightly brighter with more focus on the lighter part of the landscape might help. (see attached). Cheers. Yves P. Link to comment
david morgan 0 Posted August 29, 2008 Yves, you have managed to add colour and clarity to the mountains in the distance and brightened the foreground transforming the image. Link to comment

elke s. 0 Posted August 29, 2008 David, Yves, and Edurado - thx. Yves, perhaps you work out better the mountains and build a better contrast, but you loose the quality and the sharpness is to much. Link to comment
yves_p 0 Posted August 30, 2008 Elke, You are perfectly right. My post processing was an answer to David. It modifies the mood of the original and you are the only one who can tell what it was like. Sorry. Yves P. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted August 30, 2008 Love the light and color palette. Contrast is perfect for my taste, any S curve would destroy the atmosphere (as shown). My only problem is the small white spot on the hill LHS near the border. Sounds silly, but deflects my eyes from the two important objects, the rock and the hot spot in the sky Link to comment
elke s. 0 Posted August 31, 2008 Thx Carsten, the spot is a house - I think a crop will help. In the small version is the house not recognisable and I am agree the white spot disturbs. Link to comment
