Strolling amidst the mountains

Would appreciate all criticisms; This is one of the few times I've

attempted to shoot a landscape.

I really like your picture. The only thing that distracts for me are the people. I realize that sometimes you can control things like this, but the tree steals the show and I think would carry the picture on its own. Regardless, I still like the image very much. Best Wishes-Jim

Hi Jim, Thanks a lot for your critique. It's great to read what other photographers think of my photos especially since I'm still learning and so criticism is truly invaluable.

 

I actually took two shots of that scene; one with the people and one without. I decided to go with the one that had the people in it because I thought it might give a taste of where the shot was taken. I remember seeing photos (both in galleries and on news websites) where there would be seemingly out of place people in it and so I figured that they must have done that on purpose. But still, your point is valid and greatly appreciated, so thanks again.
