You are in fact using harsh light to shoot but use burning at post-production to give a visual effect similar to lightpainting. Right or wrong...? I think it's a bit awkward. Why not practice lightpainting then, as you would then avoid a conflict between original lighting and usage of burning...? The other picture I just commented on had imo a better composition than this one here, but mostly, the "conflict" I was talking about wasn't as obvious as it is here. My belief: try mastering real lightpainting, and with your great sense of color and composition, you'll be able to do some truly wonderful still life work. Regards. Link to comment
