m._ort 0 Posted September 28, 2002 There is something sublime about this photo. Maybe it is the star-gazer lillies, perhaps it is the way the eye and lip makeup almost match the shade of red in the flowers, perhaps the interplay of the fragile looking porcelain skin with the dark hair and background. It could be all these things. But most likely it is the "combination" of all these things in a single photo which makes me appreciate it so much. Kind regards, m. Link to comment
navarra 0 Posted September 29, 2002 Incredible picture. There is still something I don't like about her hairs, maybe the light or the diagonal line, I'm not sure. Still nearly perfect, great! Link to comment
seven 0 Posted September 30, 2002 I find this beautiful. From the tones and lighting on the model to the vivid colours and forms of her bouqet. Well done Chris. Link to comment
sumanta 0 Posted September 30, 2002 Excellent composition. Theflowers really enhances the beauty of the lady. The edge of the face seems razor cut, which seems unnecessary to me. Link to comment
orly_andico 0 Posted September 30, 2002 would prefer a slightly looser crop. also a wee bit too much overexposure of highlights, at least on my monitor... Link to comment
Ray House 4,551 Posted September 30, 2002 WOW! It's beautiful as is.... I would remove the white border though, the image stands on its' own! Link to comment
mg 0 Posted October 4, 2002 Really splendid atmosphere here... I'd like the hair behind her to be slightly more defined, and the bottom flower to be complete. All else is just great. Regards. Link to comment
nelson cotrim 0 Posted October 4, 2002 I like the unreal porcelain skin, and the contrast between the "still life portrait" and the flowers. They completely alter the mood. It would be a sad piece with the face alone. I don´t mind about the hair, but the object at the lower right corner is very distracting for me (don´t know if it´s a leave, or just a reflex of the flash on her colth) and keeps atracting my eye. I´d also like to see the complete bouquet. PS: great lighting, the flowers seems to be suspended in the air. Link to comment
