Chilled Sky

I took this on a whim because I knew I'd regret not photographing a

sunset this impressive sometime later. Although the dark area of the

eastern sky is rather scientifically unavoidable during a sunset, do

you still find this image effective? Comments/ratings please. Peace

I think the trees balance the dark part of the sky, and the shape of the clouds give my eye a chanch to move around and enjoy the image without having to search for anything. Very nice.

Great colors in the sky; perfect exposure. I don't know about the trees, though. This may be just because of my style of shooting, but I'd rather see more tree or none at all here. I'm not sure what the sky to the left looked like (obvioulsly, since I wasn't there), but I wonder what panning slightly to the left would have done. Having the trees as anchors in the corners and keeping the main space open for the magnificent sky, maybe...I don't know. In any case, the little snip of tree at lower left should propbably go.
