ilona wellmann 0 Posted September 27, 2002 Can you beleve me that I did`t see the photo of Vitor before ?! Anyway the are many subjects and compositions on this site that are similar or appropiate but that doesen`t mean they are " imitations". Regards. Link to comment
pierre_lewis 0 Posted September 27, 2002 It sounds unbelievable ,the two photos are too similar but I may apologize for the word "imitation". Link to comment
ilona wellmann 0 Posted September 27, 2002 Pierre, I taked a look on the folder of Vitor Dias, there it`s any kind of photo with this subject?! Link to comment

root 0 Posted September 28, 2002 Even if you've seen the other image before (and I believe you if you tell me you have not) You have presented the idea in your own way . . . . the text can be read easily . . . it's asymetrical balance shot . . . Your decision to break the rule about focusing on the elements nearest the film plane was a good one. Link to comment
marielou_dhumez 1 Posted October 3, 2002 Su cute ! So nice, Illona ! One more point for the book is in French... ;-) Link to comment
balint 0 Posted October 14, 2002 I prefer Ilona's photo rather than Vitor's _original_ photo, because in my opinion Ilona's color composition is simpler and better. Link to comment
orpheus 0 Posted October 23, 2002 BEAUTIFUL! this is truly one of life's simplest things that most ppl just don't notice...what would make it a PERFECT 7 would be if the words on the page were either like a dictionary on the word LOVE...or the text of Romeo and Juliet...8) Link to comment
tomtomtom 0 Posted December 9, 2002 Clever, beautiful, smart. Your whole folder impressed. I've Marked you as Interesting -- keep taking beautiful photos. :) Link to comment
vishwa 0 Posted January 2, 2003 fantastic. Extremely original image. I would never have thought that a shadow as interesting as this could even be cast using a light source, spectacles and a book. Very well done. Link to comment
mark_l 0 Posted March 19, 2003 I love this photo. The crispness, the composition....it all creates a powerful image. Link to comment
jordialberti 0 Posted September 17, 2003 So beautiful. Realization, composition, light... I think this is perfect... and also, I prefeer this one to the Victor's one. May be the other one is the imitation of this? Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted January 28, 2004 Lovely image - infact your monochrom folder is full of great work. I think I'll be coming back on a regular basis! Link to comment
clauziere 0 Posted November 22, 2005 ouin , il y a pas juste l'anglais dans la vie!:) great shot !! I'd never seen that before!could you have focused at the end of the book and have 2 focus points ( because your taking a photo of a lens that already is in focus of something) ?? ( a little bit like another photo on photo.net that I saw, of a non-focused nude lady holding glasses, and only the nipple is in focus in the glasses) Link to comment
serge goetzinger 0 Posted January 21, 2006 Excellent shot. I tried this a several times, but never had such a good result as this. Link to comment
