nadopix 0 Posted August 18, 2008 The only suggestion I'd make is to fix whatever's going on with the upper portion of your shot. Is something smudged on your filter? Link to comment
le_grand 0 Posted August 18, 2008 for me the upper part is OK look like fog or mist from the fall, but if the sun was more to the right side we could have seen more of the fall size. but that is just what I tink. one thing for sure it easier to say than to do. you where there and I dont know in what condition it was taken. great shot Pierre Link to comment
sketch_tbhotmail.com 11 Posted August 18, 2008 Wow, magnificent is right man. You've hit another one outta the park it seems. Maybe its me, but it seems like mist rising in the upper right rather than smudges... Looks fine. Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted August 18, 2008 Good Lord, man; it completely feels like you're standing on the lip of the falls shooting this! Fabulous POV and perspective. I see nothing, whatsoever, wrong with the upper portion of the image; it looks like mist to me. Beautiful work, and thanks for sharing this with us. Cheers! Chris Link to comment

images_in_light_north_west 0 Posted August 19, 2008 You got another winner, an original shot of Iguazu, just wish I could afford the type of travel you do. Ross Link to comment
anish 0 Posted August 20, 2008 Beautiful lighting effect, Michael. A question: Is the sun's diffused look caused only by the mist rising from the falls, or were there any other atmospheric conditions, like fog or clouds, that contributed? Thanks, Anish Link to comment

michael anderson 0 Posted August 20, 2008 Thanks for the great commentary everyone! Getting this image was a one time opportunity. The national park is closed before 9am and I have never seen a sunrise image from here. I was very lucky to strike up a conversation with a park ranger the day before about my days in Yosemite. She invited me in to the park on my last day there through an alternate entrance at 5am and we hiked out to this spot. It was an unusually cold day and fog was everywhere. The ledge for this shot was small and I didn't really have any room to go left or right. I tucked in close to the water and the sun rose through the fog over the river and the rising mist from the falls made the light even more spectacular. It was one of the most surreal experiences I've had in my life! I hope everyone that loves waterfalls gets a chance to see Iguazu at one point in their lifetime- It is a magnifiicent sight! There was no smudging on the lens-just the mist. -Mike Link to comment
dacamera 0 Posted August 24, 2008 It's a beautiful Image, the more I look the more I see, subtle colours, shapes, tints and tones. I can almost hear the water thundering! Simon Link to comment
tkoger 0 Posted December 22, 2008 Great job Michael, I really like your shots at Igauzu. I'm guessing by when you posted these you were there about a year after I went. I was there July 2007. You were indeed fortunate to get up to this spot early. It is nearly impossible to get a slow shot like this once the tourists arrive and start pounding around on the catwalks! Timing is everything if you are going to get unique images here. Great preparation and anticipation. I recommend this spot to everyone. In fact, I recommend the whole country. Argentina is full of wonderful and unique image opportunities. Love your work and can't wait to see more. TK Link to comment
