bretsch 0 Posted August 16, 2008 A continuum of a previous experiment, a very shallow depth of field for a landscape, and of course, once again, I wanted to get as close to the Grand Canyon as possible. Take a look at the bigger picture attached to this one. In advance thank you for your comments. Link to comment

Leroy_Photography 0 Posted August 16, 2008 Too cool. I love it as is, but knowing that it's the Grand Canyon, the originality in your capture makes it even more intriguing. Wonderful! Thanks for sharing. Link to comment

godfather 0 Posted August 17, 2008 Can i say, that it is quite clever shot. 50/50 compo works very good and the reddish blurry background looks rather fashinating. Warm rgs Tero. Link to comment

bretsch 0 Posted August 19, 2008 Katherine, thank you very much for your visit and comment, I really appreciate it. Laura, what can I say.......I'm just happy that you like it, I think the risk of ending with something that people didn't like, was worth it; or else, how can one be growing and learning every time. Tolo, muchas gracias. Un abrazo! Tero, as someone that really admires your work, for its originality, it comes as a real pleasure to find our that you like my work too. Thank you, Pete, thanks for the visit and comments my friend, they're really appreciated. Pnina, nice that you noticed, it was the background that took more work to get accurate to what the colors where at that time of day. Adan, thanks for your visit; I'm really glad that you like this photo. Cheers Link to comment
laurentlacoste 0 Posted August 21, 2008 Another very original view of Grand Canyon, Juan Carlos. Very colorful in your own unique way. It's funny how even using the same pieces of machinery, each of us will come out with different pictures. Your way of composing a picture, capturing and rendering color could really be nobody else's. bretsch 0 Posted August 21, 2008 Thank you Laurent, you're absolutely right about that, it's that uniqueness what makes photography into art. This was taken at sundown so I had quite an array of reddish colors to work with, and the sky was amazing too, so all it took was some minor post processing adjustments, but the main ingredients were already there and not at all of my making. Cheers! Link to comment
