Touch of Gold

ian cameron

A sheared slab of sandstone soaked by spray glows brilliant gold in the reflected light of a setting sun as it slips below some evil grey storm clouds. combined with a seething sea and the glitter of sunlit foreground rocks the drama of another Hopeman sunset is complete.NEW!! Another gem of a posting. Fabulous light on that tilted slab, and pretty special subtle lighting on the FG ledges. This is quite beautiful. Cheers! Chris

What superb lighting!

Your dedication to the craft really comes out here. You must have been (a) very lucky with the light, (b) very patient indeed, or © both!

I can't offer any comment other than this is another lovely shot that gets added to my list of favourites!

All the very best,

Rob

Excellent Ian, great composition, sit, wait, hope and then maybe just maybe we are rewarded as is the case here. The light hitting the rock face contrasts perfectly with the moody colours of the sky and sea. One thing that is really appealing to me is the line up the rocks as the recede back into the frame and the way each one has reflected the light. I just love this shot. Very well captured!
