This is such an awesome photo! It makes me think of a shot by Mapplethorpe; although yours is very unique and different the imagery is similar. Love this concept just seeing someone holding something orb like put you in contact mentally with the pregnant womans stomach, excellent work.

this is very unique. the darkness of the hand draws a lot of attention. what would happen if she held the orb in the palms (palms facing up so more attention goes right to the belly. That would also eliminate the dark arm which would cradle her bump. (aren't pregnant bellies great?) The shadow just lighting the side of her face and neck is very cool and I love the idea.

This is a new style for me. I'm a Landscape Photographer but I enjoy photographying people since I Started wedding photography.
