alpenglow 0 Posted August 6, 2008 This is a merge of two individual photos that I shot with my Holga camera. The two frames are side by side on the film, and I considered just leaving them as a diptich. But I decided they looked better merged into one image. Let me know what you think, and as always, thank you for taking the time. Mike Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted August 6, 2008 Mike, the merge is a bit visible, due to the softness at the edges of the frames (large aperture ?), but I do not mind. A wonderful wilderness shot. I was a bit taken aback by the pink/magenta color of the trunks of the trees in the background. Interesting. A characteristic of the film or real colour ? Best wishes. Peter Link to comment
alpenglow 0 Posted August 6, 2008 Thank you Peter as always for the observations. I know what you mean about the edge softness, but that's a characteristic of the Holga camera and the plastic lens... just no escaping that issue. And the slightly off colors are due to the expired film I used which likely had a bit of a color shift. I could correct for it, but I rather like the look :) Thanks again, Mike Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted August 7, 2008 very nice Mike....looks like an enchanted forest...the softness and muted colors...that's expired film? I might have to buy me some 8>) Link to comment
soniam 6 Posted August 21, 2008 Beautifully done. Great exposure. They merged well together. It really does look like a magical forest. Link to comment
