I got here about 20 minutes too late for sunrise. But this was what

was waiting for me when I get setup.

 

How can this be improved? Should I start thinking about HDR to full

in the dark area or are they OK?

IMHO it makes a good impression as is. What plays an important role here is the light, the sky and the reflections. The interruption by the shadows adds to the image.
