Thank you very much for your visit, your supporting comments and evaluations. It's always a pleasure for me to see you back on my submissions and I appreciate and read every single word with much attention with the objective to improve my postings successively. Thanks again to all of you.

To the notorious low rating 'anonymous' just the message that:

1.) I will not hesitate to post material which I want to share with the group of friends I think I might have on PN.

2.) You will not be able to jeopardize the pleasure and fun I have on PN , including the learning experience I go through.

On request I personally translate this message in seven other common languages if you can't handle this one.

Best regards, El

Dear Andrea, it's a great pleasure for me to see you back on my submissions. I thank you for the time you spend to evaluate this one. Concerning your comment generally the following: There is always room for improvement of course but 'de gustibus et coloribus non est disputandum...' I acknowledge what you say and you might have a point. Notwithstanding, I like the image because of three reasons: I love the 50mm 1.2 glass very much for the ad hoc, handheld, no flash night shots. I wanted the fg sharp with a very shallow bg. ( If I could shoot again I would try to go down to 1.4/ 1.2 to achieve more blurr) . Finally, the 'model' is my daughter who needed a ( cheap) drink at 30° plus at night after a good dinner ...Remains to say, nothing is converted or PS constructed except some sharpness and frame adjustments. Thanks again, Andrea and see you around, El

Nice black and white and good 'catching the moment.' As mentioned maybe could use a little bit more blur in bg.

Excellent shot, El. Composition and detail are awesome. 7/7. I tip my cap to once again. By the way, your choice of words to these pathetic "hit and run" low raters who give no justification for their ratings, makes me even more proud to associated to you than I already am. Best wishes, have a great week..Lawrence

P.S. you have a very beautiful daughter.

Thank you to all of you for your supportive and constructive comments. I appreciate your visits and contributions very much. Best regards, El

To Chan: - The 'steady hand' is easy to explain: On higher Iso the mentioned shutter speed is sufficient to achieve the result above with that glass. Warm regards, El

Giorgio

Very good exposure, light perspective and tone,Els. My appeal to you, let not the rating nuisance poison your peace. I agree with you entirely. We learn from each other and enjoy viewing good images.

Buone vacanze El ci ritroviamo a fine mese. Ciao e complimenti.

P.S. 7/7 alla faccia degli anonimi invidiosi.

PN will not allow me to rate you a 7 on this, but I'll be back for an upgrade. Not only is the summer night HOT but your model and our image are too! I find myself wondering what it would be like to be a water fountain when such a customer comes along...
