blueroom 0 Posted August 2, 2008 Clovelly harbour on the North Devon coast. Softened and toned to bring out the ambience and antiquity of this beautifully preserved fishing village. View large for the rocky textures in that wonderful old wall. Many thanks for your attention. Link to comment
jtipton 0 Posted August 2, 2008 I really like the softening effect. I think it accomplished what you intended. Well composed and enjoyable to look at. Great Job.-Jim Tipton Link to comment

mhvetbo 0 Posted September 3, 2008 I really enjoyed this fishing village on my first visit some years ago. Congratulations on your interpretations of it. I like this composition and treatment but I am a little bothered by the white on the boat and building as it is a blue white, whereas the rest is sepia. Did you intend this two tone effect? Cheers from Canada! Michael. Link to comment
blueroom 0 Posted September 4, 2008 No Michael, I wasn't after a two tone effect but I was quite pleased with the contrast. In the light of your observations though I can see that a creamier tone would be more sympathetic and I shall try for that in any subsequent versions. Thank you for your considered and helpful comments on this and others of my pictures. All the best. Eric Link to comment
