matman1975 0 Posted August 3, 2008 Beautiful shot...after all babies are always great photo subjects. You captured very well a tender moment, the only minor issue here is the distracting grass in front of the left one. Great effort Andreas, greetings from Greece Link to comment
kinell 0 Posted August 3, 2008 Yes you are right, the grass does distract somewhat from the elephant to the left. Considering the well exposed right elephant, however, I have found the grass helpful to show how tiny those two babies actually are. Of course, it could be better placed... Link to comment
geertje 0 Posted September 14, 2008 Andreas, you could concider cloning out some of the grass. The most difficult part is the eye.. But it might be worth the try. I worked on it just a little as a suggestion.I hope you don't mind and I bett you can do a whole lot better than me. Kind regards, Geertje Link to comment
kinell 0 Posted September 15, 2008 Geertje, thank you very much for your input. Until now I've had this personal objective not to manipulate any of my wildlife shots (as well as not taking pictures of captured animals). But just like the other commentator, you have a very valid point and I feel your manipulation would improve the image considerably. I might actually create a special folder for manipulated photos and try your suggestion myself. Thanks again for your great effort, it is much appreciated! Link to comment
