Cefalu Rocca

This is an older image, but it's one of me personal favorites, not

only because of what it captures (a fantastic trip with my cousin at a

time when I really needed that kind of escape) but because it is one

of the first pictures I took consciously (i.e. with forethought) and

which I partially attribute to getting me hooked on photography. I

recall taking this exact shot without anyone in the frame, realizing

that it needed a human element, and asking my cousin to climb up and

look out at the horizon. Someday I need to get back there.

To be honest with you the first thought that came to me looking at this photo was "vandalism" I don't agree with climbing on historical remains. Also the light on the town below isn't great.
