viehdoc.lieven 1 Posted July 30, 2008 Great shot! Why do you exspect ratings, when you don't participate on ratings yourself? Regards! CL Link to comment
raybrizzi 0 Posted July 30, 2008 I haven't started rating pictures yet because I feel it's too subjective. I will probably start soon, now that you've pushed my button. I wanted to have a better overview of the photos here before I would do things to ruin someone's ratings if I didn't understand the picture or context. But thanks for looking, AND for calling me on this. I do a lot of comments so it's not entirely a one-way street. Ray Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted July 30, 2008 I prefer comments, although I am starting to rate again. Lovely light here, nice framing and color too. A 1/3 stop less exposure might be better? Link to comment
raybrizzi 0 Posted July 30, 2008 The lighting looks right on my screen, with only the light coming through the doors very bright. It captures the scene the way my eye saw it, although the camera saw it as burned out bleachers and almost black building and stage. It was a writeoff, but then I rememberd that Photomatix has a tone mapping feature for single pictures, not just for multiple exposure HDRs. I tried it and it brought out all the detail all over the picture without looking overprocessed or filled with artifacts. Thanks for taking a look. Ray Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted July 31, 2008 Interesting perspective on this.....makes a very effective shot! I appreciate it all the more after the description of your processing efforts. Bravo! Link to comment
