katzpjs 50 Posted July 31, 2008 Nice work Linda. I was about to say, "I'll bet it would look great if larger". But never mind that thought because it DOES look great larger. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 31, 2008 Linda, it looks like the sunset entered the construction...the timing and execution is great . The shadow in the FG, the roof and the dark clouds behind are well accetuated by the light of sunset. really a legendary sight ;-)) Very well composed. Link to comment
llgarcia 1 Posted July 31, 2008 Wonderful image, creatively rendered and it could not have been taken any better. Congratulations! - Lester Link to comment
blackdogstudio 1 Posted August 2, 2008 The balance between the interior and exterior lighting nears perfection. Beautiful work! Link to comment
yannik_hay 1 Posted August 2, 2008 This is so nice! So peaceful. I like very much the light from within the church and the glow around the tower bell. Great colours, warmth and drama. The only thing would be to straighten the tower bell. Great work! Yannik Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted August 2, 2008 Difficult lighting but you have conquered it - very well done. Link to comment
shadetothetrade 0 Posted August 6, 2008 Linda.. I was flipping through photo's I rated quite some time ago, and came across an image of yours that i remembered in great detail.. Usually a sign with me of a capture that introduced me to ones portfolio. After returning to yours I remembered instantly the depth and interest your photo's expressed to me. Alas, here is another example.. The glow and radiance of the windows accented by the ribbon of light around the clouds. The White, but not perfect white of the church.. Crisp, but still believable.. What more can I say.. You have an eye that has evolved and become tuned in to your surroundings.. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted August 6, 2008 Fred, thanks for looking, I'm glad you like it. This is a much photographed church on the Kamloops Indian Band land. Every evening at sunset the sun shines through the stained glass and for that moment it is real. Sally, thank you for looking. Good to hear from you. Shawn, I'm glad to hear you took the time to look at this larger. All the best Pnina, thank you very much, good to hear from you. Lester, thank you for the kind words. Lou Ann, thanks! Good to hear from you. Hi Kelvin! thank you for your comment. Yannik, thank you for commenting, I appreciate it. You are so observant, I didn't even notice the bell was leaning. All the best. Tony, thank you! Hi Ellen! Thank you. B McManus, thank you. I am fortunate to be living in such beautiful country. I am inspired every time I walk out my door. All the best. Christal1664882414 0 Posted December 29, 2008 It's as if God were shining his light down upon this church. It's quite an amazing scene, both the composition and the processing. I'd love to see it straightened up just a bit. The vertical lines of the church and steeple seem to lean to the right a little. Nevertheless, this is very nice work! Link to comment
leo burkey 0 Posted January 14, 2009 Masterfully done! The glow in the windows knocks my socks off. So very well seen and processed, Linda! Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted January 14, 2009 Thanks! This is a much photographed church on the Kamloops Indian Band land. It was taken from an open train that slowed down almost to a stop just as the sun was coming through the glass and steeple. Link to comment
