I would shoot a obvious view of Paris with the tower but try to catch

something more, like modernism, grey sky, dirt pigeons...

I think this is much more a photo of Paris that it was an obvious photo of the tower. An obvious picture of the tower would be just a photo of the tower, this is a photo of Paris.
