kgraff 0 Posted September 19, 2002 Who says you have to wait for perfect weather to get great photos? Looks like an impressionist painting. Link to comment
eachica 0 Posted September 19, 2002 The rain adds everything to this picture. What a great shot! It DOES truly look like an impressionist painting. Link to comment
adrianhinojosa 0 Posted September 21, 2002 Each of the elements of this photo by itself - the rain, colors, lighting and location might be ordinary, but timing and synergy makes this a captivating image that is pleasing to view at length Link to comment
sandy_trunzer 0 Posted February 6, 2003 Wonderful shot, I really enjoyed looking at all the photos in your portfolio - love the quirky angles/perspectives used in many of them. Link to comment
fotografz 4 Posted May 19, 2003 Can't believe some dolts rated this a double 3. But it's an injustice I can do something about. Link to comment
geddert 0 Posted May 25, 2003 This is a superb shot, and a testament to the importance of having a camera accessible at all times. In my opinion it is the best in your portfolio here at photo.net. plus the fact that it was taken in London really fits... this is the type of shot I wish I could have taken while I lived in Aberdeen - it really captures many of the days pretty well. It is a gray street, obviously overcast and raining, which is pretty common in the UK - BUT, the woman is wearing cheerful colors and although one can't see her face we can see "sunshine" and all the metaphors that represents - through her. dennisdixson 0 Posted June 29, 2003 I have to agree with all the positive comments thus far. I really like the color palette here and the soft focus effect of the rain. Everything seems to have come together very well. For some reason I always want architectural elements to be level and plumb, I suppose that is a relic of my contruction days. I would rotate this about 1.5 degrees clockwise but that may go against your own compositional instincts. Very nice work. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted September 22, 2011 Very nice work, Allen. I'll have to try some similar shots.--Lannie Link to comment
