orpheus 0 Posted September 21, 2002 Nice scene....just curious as to whether that shaded edge is due to the cloud formation (sometimes the clouds mask the sun's light such that a very localized area is lighted) or is it due to light-fall off from the lens? originally, i would assume it's light fall-off but the upper left corner doesn't seem to be affected by this phenomenon... artemis 0 Posted September 23, 2002 Thanks for the comment :). Actually there is a lot of flare in this image, the sun was just above the mountain, hence the sky in that region was over-bright. A bit disappointing - it was a great opportunity otherwise. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted April 3, 2003 Jin, My favorite of your posted shots. Very nice, the way the sun spotlights the central part of the frame, drawing one's eye to the buildings and lighter areas. I assume clouds cause the darkening at either side. Who wouldn't be tempted to test a frame or two on this scene. The Velvia didn't hurt either. A sure candidate for printing & mounting. Best, LM. peter_daalder 0 Posted June 21, 2003 Despite the challenging lighting of this scene, I also like this very much. Can easily identify with the scenery, especially after visiting Norway myself, on several ocassions. You've captured all essential elements in this composition. Link to comment
