Boy and Dog.

This is my first submission in some time due to seriously large work

commitments. Any input on this would be very much appreciated.

Thanks Alexa for taking the time to comment. Definitely wouldn't be without our dogs - we save so much money as days out now usually consist of finding nice places to walk, and the kids love it!

Cheers, Pete

I like the line you have chosen to tilt your focus through. The way it catches just one of your sons eyes is nice. Just as an idea it would be very cool to manage a shot where you had one of the boys eyes and one of the pouches eyes on the same pane of focus.

I like the overall feel of this as well as the interesting diagonal composition.

Nice to see you posting new stuff. I have assumed you've been buried under work this time of year. I still continue to hanging around this joint although less than previously. I keep telling myself to find better uses for my time. I have been fooling around with using plastic lenses hacked from cheap cameras and attached to my Canon. I also picked up a lensbaby which I am just starting to get the hang off.

Hi Gord.

Many thanks for dropping by this one. and for your suggestion of trying to get line of focus through one of the pooches eyes as well. This is what I had tried for with this but missed the mark (was pretty low light and it's hard to focus manually with the 10D focus screen).

Definitely busy at the moment - trees, hedges, fences, walls....it goes on and on! And the PhD.....well, trying to finish it but every time I open one of the files on my PC I get this sick watery feeling in my mouth.

I'm just about to nip over to your portfolio to check up on what you're doing with plastic lenses. Any lensbaby stuff there yet?

Pete;

"The edge of the marsh" photo in my recent upload folder is the only lensbaby one up yet. For that one I used a combination of the lens distortion and a ,slow shutter, downward pan. If you get a moment I'd love to know your thoughts. You have a much better handle on the tilt and shift department than I do.

Nice chatting... cheers.
