On Jubilee Drive

gap

6.00am just after sunrise - Tamron 28-300mm at 300mm effectively giving 450mm. Not bad for hand held!

Taken at 300mm which is effectively 450mm with my S1 Pro - the

limitations of the lens are apparent at the outer edges of the image,

but otherwise pretty acceptable for a <£300 lens battling against

the laws of physics. The picture was taken at about 6.00am which

makes me wonder who the schoolgirl is and why she's setting off to

school at such an early hour. Sadly these terraces with their

cacophony of colour have now been "refurbished" thanks to the council

and each one is now magnolia, so the photo will be impossible to

recreate for a couple of decades.

The colors and the rhythm that you saw are nice, but the upper left corner is a distraction. A higher vantage point would help. . . a step ladder, stand on top of your car . . .. seriously.

Well seen. Impeccable arrangment of colors and shadows (the top left is a problem however). This would look good in a large print. However, I see a fair amount of blur. Pity you didn't use a tripod! The girl is not large enough or in-focus enough to add much to the picture, unfortunately. The "off to school" title distracts. Seriously.
