isabellathompson 0 Posted July 18, 2008 Nice shot. I really like the soft light over the water. The bird in the foreground also really adds to this image as does the bridge on the left. Great capture! Isabella Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted July 18, 2008 This is a very attractive scene, Daniel. The detail and textures in the foreground form an important part of the image as a whole. I'm particularly pleased for the inclusion of the seagull, as it represents a vital element which balances the overall composition. There is a distinct feel of an extended dynamic range here and I'm left wondering about the concentration of colour of the descending Sun, on the water. I possibly would have expected to see more of that intensity, mirrored in the sky. Also, whilst concentrating on the bird, my attention gets drawn towards some "odd" artifacts in the water. danieljohansson 0 Posted July 20, 2008 Thank you for your comments and especially for Peter and his attention to details, you are absolutely right and I will adjust the photo a bit and upload a new version in a couple of days. This picture is a panorama photography made from 4 different photos who are stitched together, two from the foreground and two from the sky. That’s why the dynamic range is different from a single photo because this makes it possible to get a good exposure both on the foreground and the sky. There where problems with the perspective because use of wide angle lens tilted down and the photos had to be stretched and twisted to fit together and that’s why there are some defects on the water and saturation that I didn’t notice from the beginning… Link to comment
