saha 0 Posted July 18, 2008 Like it Koushik. Just a few words. She seems to heads for the rikshaw, so the land at the left makes no sense. Try to crop it with the rikshaw at the top left. Now a days we have some rain here, but that is far from what you have. I really miss it. Link to comment
ray.koushik 0 Posted July 18, 2008 Mumtaz, Oskar, thank you very much for the kind words. Bijan, I knew someone will complain about the land!!!!! So I had that version ready --- attaching below. I made two versions and decided to put this one. The reason for keeping that part is to make it look like a newspaper report ---- to show that the full street was under water...it was not staged inside a natural water body. Also, as you see, the three wires cutting though the image look uglier in the cropped version. But, thank you so much for suggesting the variation. I appreciate it. -koushik Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted July 19, 2008 I like both versions, but the original is my favorite. The bit of land in the corner balances out the photo and gives some flood relief. The color palette is wonderful. Link to comment
ray.koushik 0 Posted July 19, 2008 Thank you for the support, Jeff. As I explained above, this precisely was my intention for keeping the portion showing the land and the bush. But I appreciate Bijan's suggestion, which was to make it more than a mere documentary. -koushik Link to comment
