A beautiful image. You can really feel the warmth glowing from inside. I like the outhouse in the photo as it is well lit and the appeal of this one is the great lighting. It it moon light reflecting on the roof? Or is there a street light out there in the wilderness?

Like this image. To answer your question; as i see it the composition works well, could have wanted a bit more space at the right of the little building, but i guess that the high trees would then be "higher" and ruin the balance of this composition. Regards!

I think that this is well balanced. In color, exposure and composition. Not big on frames in digital galleries, but thats me.

A difficult image well captured. The outhouse is a nice echo of the larger A-frame hut. All in all a very fine image worth showing. Thanks for posting it here!

Any comments are welcomed, but I'm particularly interested in

comments on composition. I've played with a few different cropping

options, with and without the outhouse on the left, and setteled on

this.

I really like your composition, the lights from the cabin are so inviting, can't wait to get inside and have some hot cocoa. The cropping is great, leave the out-house in gives the photo more depth.

Must have been really cold outside, but the photo certainly looks worth the discomfort. I love the lighting and the whole composition.

This is a classic example of a pretty picture is easy to take in a pretty place, except for the use of twilight here. I do like the way you did that, showing the mountains as well as the warm light of "home".

This is a nice shot, well executed. In terms of the composition, I like the outhouse, but the main hut is a bit too central for my liking. It is difficult to say without seeing the original, but I would suggest cropping just left of the bench on the left side.

Nice composition that works well...I particularly like the warm glow of the light shining through the windows, throwing llumination on the seat to the right and the outhouse to the left. It looks too good to be real!!

For me, the added width of the image is particularly peaceful - somehow it lets the darkness and the blanket of snow settle more heavily on the landscape. A crop that eliminated the outhouse would strongly emphasize the verticality of the cabin roof and the trees behind it reaching toward the mountain peak. I think it would be an entirely different image and not what you intended. However, you might look at dodging the sky in upper right or burning the upper left a little so that the top margin feels more in balance and lessens the awkward dark patch of sky between the buildings?
