Interesting shot. There is a lot what comes to mind, but I can't escape the feeling that this is very posed which takes away the strenght of the photo.

Thanks for the comment Marco, Despite your feeling the shot is not posed. I'm quite odd but I don't think I'm weird enough to have a man in a wheelchair pretend to nap in the middle of a street.

A nap in the street you say, that's just sad.

What's his story? Abandoned, neglected, abused and kicked around by the system, perhaps? So much so that he feels his only strenght is to be a nusence, maybe than he gets noticed.

Or is he just a traffic regulator who's taking his mandetory break?

What, tell me how this story evolved.

Oof, that's a lot of conclusion jumping ;)

 

There was a block party on High St. in Columbus. The City blocked of about 10 blocks and so there was no car traffic. This gentleman was simply taking a nap. I'm not sure why he chose to do so there but it didn't seem like a bad idea especially with a reclining wheelchair.
