Guest Guest Posted July 14, 2008 The repeating background pattern gives this something extra. Good shot. Regards, Jeroen Link to comment
bartimeus1 0 Posted July 14, 2008 This one is a really strong image. I feel an urgent need to see this one cropped from the bottom area, and yet, at the same time I enjoy the tensioned atmosphere that rises from exactly this kind of composition and exposure. So, this provokes and activates, by doing so, this definitely works well. To say it shortly: I like this one exactly this way and I like this one very much! Link to comment

samcisa 0 Posted July 15, 2008 I really like the shot. Maybe too many objects in foreground, but still not overloaded, and nothing you could do about :D Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 16, 2008 Very nicely done. Great eye for subject and composition. There's symmetry and just enough asymmetry to keep it interesting. The color work is sharp. The strong vignette draws the eye almost into a vortex. It shows us how isolating things within a frame turns the ordinary into the much more extraordinary. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted July 16, 2008 Wonderful, wonderful picture, the treatment and crop just perfect. The soaring pinks of the umbrellas salute the world as passing carnival. When you finally get around to the book, you're going to have some tough choices, there's so many exceptional pictures. This is another. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted July 17, 2008 Did you mentioned color?.... This is outstanding! The surrealist of it, makes you wonder......Congratulations! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 18, 2008 A great piece of life scene Laurent. A great contrast of the nice BG tidiness, order and colors vs.the FG scene, life juxtaposition....timing and observation! Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted August 4, 2008 the lady among the saling tricycles....there is a superb feeling of incongruity that I like very much Laurent....the juxtaposition not only works visually with lots of dynamism (due to the repetion) but bring the viewer into both questionning and vintage mood....the vignetting suppport the vintage while the unsporty lady amont the sports tools works for questionning and surprise....a really unespected image that I enhjoy fully....
