With so much artsy stuff going around, its so refreshing to see a beautiful, honest photo of an amazing landscape taken in what I call the most scenic NP in California. You've made my day. I love most photos in your folder, which, in part may be due to similarity of interests.

what great light! I really enjoyed this one. I especially like the lighting effect just above the cloud that the sun is poking out of. I was thinking that there could maybe be some room to crop on the right side, I probably would have, but not too much, and it probably wouldn't add anything to it, just personal preference. great shot of a beautiful scene. well done! was there any retouching/effects/stuff like that done on this one?

It was just a straight and simple shot... I was up on a hill near the outlet of the lake when a cloud lazily drifted by the sun. I used a Singh-Ray 3-stop hard GND filter so the sun wouldn't completely blow out the shot, but nothing done in Photoshop... it's a straight scan off the slide. I appreciate the comments!

A very nice shot I would like to reproduce. It seems that the grad filter's edge is located about 1/4 down from the top. How did you meter the scene and decide on the f-stop/shutter speed? Thank you.

I took so many photos on this particular backpacking trip that I don't remember the technical details of this shot. Sorry about that! I'm not technically a very good photographer, I just hike and click and hope for the best! :^)

I wish I had lanscapes like this around me to capture so beatifully as you have. And you, like me, I just shoot and hope for the best. You were in the right place at the right time so glad that you were.
