jason_kubat 0 Posted September 18, 2002 Kevin, the shot itself looks good. I love the use of shutterspeed. Nice composition and I love the green plant in the foreground... really adds a lot. The thing I don't like is that fact that there seems to be a "film" or "fog" over the entire photo. I don't know if sharpening the photo would help more or not. Try to play with it and see what happens. :O) Link to comment
kevin7 0 Posted September 18, 2002 jason - i appreciate your thoughts. the fog is actually just that - fog. or rather clouds, as mt. rainier makes it own weather and was in the clouds all day. i actually feel as a jpg that its a bit oversharpened, which took away some of the fog, but left that fogged film look. in the slide, and the 25MB tiff file, the fog is there and you can see its apparent density increase as you look through the photo. i'll take a peek at some of your shots later this evening - off to work outside before it gets dark. jason_kubat 0 Posted September 19, 2002 Kevin, thanks for letting me know about the fog. I changed my ratings because of the fact that it is a natural fog and not a flop up. lol Sorry about that, and thanks for getting me back on line! :O) Link to comment
jay_patel 0 Posted October 8, 2002 Improved contrast would have made the image a lot better. Link to comment
kevin7 0 Posted October 8, 2002 yes, it was a quick post after the trip. this needed some levels adjusments. i'll be posting a bunch sometime soon, and this should pale in comparison, the version i printed at home is excellent. Link to comment
