Theodore, I agree I wish it was on a branch or something from nature but it wasn't so I took the shot. This was the first day that I had the 100-400 and I was surprised I got a shot this good as it was. Thank you for commenting.

IMHO, I don't think the branch thing is that big a deal. Birds exist around and in towns and cities, so this works fine. The depth of field is great. Only little distraction is the branch at the lower right. Maybe crop or clone that out. Regardless of that this picture is a 6/6 for me. Best Wishes-Jim

Jim I was so busy worrying about the fence I didn't even see that little branch duh I'll see what I can do. I'm not good with the clone tool but this gives me a perfect opportunity to practice.

Well I think its gonna have to be a crop I'm not satisfied with the results of the clone tool.

I also don't think that there's anything wrong with this bird's perch. And a crop from the right hand side wouldn't hurt this image (in my opinion). It's a nice, lean focus and good moment to capture.
