gopal 0 Posted September 16, 2002 Would like some feedback on this shot of Paris from Montmartre. Link to comment
roger1 0 Posted September 17, 2002 I really like this shot- I've been to montmartre and, for me, this capture's the essence of paris in B&W. Maybe the Eiffel Tower could have been composed more in the center of the 2 columns?? Works for me. Link to comment
miguelangelhoyas 0 Posted September 19, 2002 A different view of the tower... Interesting Link to comment
wespettus 0 Posted September 23, 2002 A very lush toned photograph, with a very strong composition. One to be proud of for sure. Link to comment
gibikote 0 Posted September 29, 2002 do you have one that was focussed at infinty rather than the columns? intrested to see how that would look... very catching, imposing. Link to comment
rana_dayal 0 Posted September 30, 2002 Ah ..the pure, simple power of a 50mm..beautiful. This is the best of your Paris folder. Where exactly in Montmarte was this taken from ..Sacre Couer ? Link to comment
john_fletcher 0 Posted September 30, 2002 I agree with the other posters that it would be nice to see how this would look with the Tower centered between the columns and/or with the shot focused at infinity. Aside from that, I love the way this shot captures the style (for lack of a better word) of an old European city like Paris. No skyscrapers like here in the States, just low-rise buildings as far as the eye can see with the Tower standing majesticly over them. The columns add a nice framing to the scene. Link to comment
gopal 0 Posted October 2, 2002 I am looking to see if I have one focused at infinity. So far no luck finding a negative... Link to comment
root 0 Posted October 2, 2002 too top heavy, too much bald sky, not enough city. The idea is good, but if you had gotten higher, backed up to get infinity focus and shot a horizonal with the tower in the center of a space to the right, I think the balance would have worked better. Link to comment
sweeney 0 Posted January 3, 2007 I think this is a great shot with some origionality to it. It does all seem to be a little off focus and not very sharp. Personally I like the off center composition. Centered between the columns would be so typical. Nice shot. Link to comment
samertarabichi 0 Posted February 6, 2007 wonderful shot and view light and shadow are perfect Link to comment
