mpitak 0 Posted July 10, 2008 Joseph, a little bit longer exposure and you will get beautiful water and scene. This one is between frozen motion and blurred. Anyway the whole composition looks pretty nice. I like fog in the back of the frame and portion of snow. Regards Link to comment
victorwei 0 Posted July 10, 2008 You have captured this waterfall with just the right exposure to reveal the details of its flow. Remarkable shot! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 10, 2008 I'm with Victor, the shutter speed is just right for this image. I'm a sucker for cotton candy water falls, but when there is this much water it tends to be to much. The snow is picking up some great light and the detail in the rocks is interesting. Very life like, natural and well seen Joseph Link to comment
httpwww.photos.netphot 0 Posted July 10, 2008 Mateusz, I love the cotton candy effect in most cases, but I think in this case, an in between shutter speed shows movement while still preserving the details in the water as Victor and Zeph alluded to. The flow was quite strong as you can see, and the water looked too blown out when I tried a longer exposure. I don't think a longer exposure would accurately portray the power of the flow in this case. Thanks again for your comments. Link to comment
tinameikle 0 Posted July 10, 2008 This is a wonderfully atmospheric shot and I too think that the exposure is spot on and captures the movement beautifully. I think long exposures turn water to gloop ! Rgds, Tina. Link to comment
mpitak 0 Posted July 13, 2008 Maybe you are right. it gives ideas about water cascades ....well I am not fan of cotton, candy blurred water too, especially in case of Falls, but this (for me) seems to be somewhere between. Cheers Link to comment
